John Gordon

JGAtlanta, Georgia is proud to be the birthplace of Coca-Cola, The ’96 Olympics, and John B. Gordon. Unfortunately, I am John C. Gordon, but I’m sure Atlanta will nevertheless claim me. The power of the cinema seduced John, when his parents took him to see the film “Batteries Not Included” starring Jessica Tandy. This experience gave John a profound respect for the art of story telling and the power of human emotion. He never again wanted to be a fireman, cowboy, soldier, or any other profession that sometimes occupies the fantasies of childhood imagination. Instead, he wanted to be them all, and the only job that allows you to do that is acting.

John began the study of his craft at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, and then later at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. In addition to an impressive acting resume, he also boasts an extensive background in improvisational humor. He polished this ability while attending the Los Angeles Connection Comedy Theatre, and by serving as the co-chairman of the 1999-2000 Westminster Sketch-Comedy team.

In his transition from amateur to professional John has been fortunate to work with a group of both dedicated and talented artists including Stephanie Argy and Alec Boehm, Ces Hardy, Ryan Tungate, and Zach Snyder. He has appeared in a variety of student films, independent films, and commercials. The progression of story telling has taken us from the page to the stage to the screen. Together let’s tell the next great story.
